KF 5.6 - UPRIGHT, PENDENT & RECESSED PENDENT
MODEL: SD1010 (Pendent),
SD1015SR (Upright), SD1030, SD1032
Axis Safety provides upright, pendent-type sprinkler heads.
A fire sprinkler or sprinkler head
is a part of a fire sprinkler system that releases water when the effects of a
fire are detected, such as when a predetermined temperature is reached.
K-factor is used to compute the discharge rate from fire sprinkler heads. It is
computed in imperial units for the United States by multiplying the flow in
gallons per minute (GPM) by the pressure in PSI. A sprinkler with an imperial K
factor of 5.6 produces a flow rate of 15.0 US GPM and a pressure drop of 7.2
psi. Alternatively, for a given flow rate through the sprinkler, the pressure
loss can be estimated using the K value.
The SHIELD Sprinklers, SD1010,
SD1015, SD1030, SD1032 (Glass Bulb Type), Standard Orifice, Upright, Pendent,
and Recessed Pendent types, use cutting-edge, heat-responsive, frangible glass
bulb design (standard or quick response) for quick, precise operation.
The forged frame is more modern and appealing than standard sand-cast frames.
It is designed with a hex-shaped wrench for easy adjustment from various
angles. This sprinkler is available in a variety of temperature ratings and
finishes to accommodate a wide range of design requirements. For optimal
results, pair the recessed pendent with a recessed escutcheon that allows for
¾" adjustment. All sprinklers are made using the time proven Belleville
seal, which is utilized exclusively by all.
