KITCHEN FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM

 

INTRODUCTION

The NAFFCO Kitchen Fire Suppression System is designed specifically to suppress fires in commercial kitchen cooking appliances, plenums, hoods, and ducts. Each system runs automatically or can be operated manually.

The system employs a liquid chemical as an agent. The agent is a solution of potassium acetate that includes:

  •         Surface grease is saponified, resulting in combustion-resistant soap.
  •         The cooling effect of water evaporation.
  •         The effects of resulting steam creation.
  •         Interrupting the chemical chain reaction of combustion.

FETTEX

Cooking oil and fat flames can be extinguished using this agent.

 

DESCRIPTION

FETTEX is a salt-based liquid fire extinguishing chemical designed to combat fires caused by cooking oil and fat in deep fat fryers and frying appliances.

 

PROPERTIES

FETTEX reacts to hot, flaming cooking oil or fat. When the fire extinguishing chemical meets the fire's surface, the flames go out quickly. An excellent foam-based fire extinguishing and cooling blanket that prevents re-ignition.
